A little context: my first kiddo, Elissa Daisy, was diagnosed with Kleefstra Syndrome, an incredibly rare genetic disorder, in April of 2021. She’s an exuberant and joyfully goofy kiddo, a big fan of Raffi (Wheels on the Bus is a perennial fave!), and the books of Sandra Boynton and Todd Parr. She faces many challenges each and every day, and her mother and I do our very best to learn from her as we help her navigate the world.
